Drop Deadline
I was wondering when the drop date was and when we might expect to see the drops from several other people in the league. It would be nice if we could know all of the drops at least a week before the draft so we can prepare - there are at least 33 more players that have to be dropped by my calculations (Elliot has 9 players to drop alone).

Draft - Snake Draft
I was wondering - will we continue our practice of having a snake draft (in reverse order of finish) to fill out our rosters after everyone has spent all of their draft dollars?

Draft
So, what are we doing for the draft exactly? Lets start with a vote for whether it is a 1 day draft or 1 player per day draft...

Non Yahoo Players pt 2
By limiting the draft to players who were available at the end of last year we would be severly limiting the rebuilding efforts of teams at the bottom of the league. The structured amount of draft dollars is the best way to get the good, young talent onto the teams that need them, rather than allowing players to be picked up via the fluid and often ambiguous timing of the waiver wire.
Teams who finished in the bottom half of the league should have a significant advantage in acquiring young talent. Players like LaPorta, Wieters, and Gamel (and that's just prospects named Matt!) should all go to the teams that need young talent - not the teams lucky enough to notice their appearance on the waiver wire or fortunate enough to get a trade for the top spot waiver position right before a call up.

Non-Yahoo Players
With the draft coming up, I wanted to know how we will determine who is available? Obviously we will have the "dropped" list and most MLB veterans are already in the Yahoo system - but what about prospects who may or may not be in the Yahoo system at the beginning of the season?
Personally, I think we should use the following rules for allowing a non-Yahoo player to be on a team:
1. The non-Yahoo player can only be picked up in the yearly supplemental draft.
2. The drafting team retains the rights to the player for only one year. If the player is not added to the Yahoo system during that year the player is available to be re-drafted the next year.
3. An empty bench spot must be retained to accomodate for the player.
4. The empty roster spot cannot be used to pick up a player on the DL.
5. The teams finishing in the bottom 5 of the league in the previous year may have an additional non-Yahoo player retained without having to leave a roster spot open (or they can have one and keep their roster spot).
Thoughts?

Drops/Trade
Here are my drops:
Zach Miner
Cha Seung Bak
Tim Wakefield
Kevin Milwood
Trade Info:
I am willing to do a lot of trading (as always). Below is a list of the player I will NOT trade under almost any circumstances:
Tiexiera, Braun, Hanley, and Hamels
Everyone else is fair game. The only thing I know I need right now is a 3B. Depending on who you go after, I might need a player in that position too (ie if you go after Pedrioa, I will probably need a 2b replacement).
Facebook message me if you are interested in some trades.

List for trade
I'm open to trades and looking for waiver spots. In the mix of big names available:
Magglio Ordonez
Brandon Wood
Brandon Wood
Raul Ibanez
Carmona
Miller
Putz
technically you can trade people you dropped cause they don't get dropped til the 15th... probably not interested so much in that.
Looking for one or more of the following in order: 1) Waiver jump 2) draft $$ 3) 3B 4) 1B 5) CL
NOT interested in 1) SP 2) OF 3) C 4) SS/2B
No matter what.... need to get rid of more of my guys than I get (can make up for the difference in numbers with $$, waiver spot or talent). Also I understand that having less right now is having more so I'm not expecting to get the good end of this.... but I'm putting up players here you wont be able to get in the draft once the start of the first round is over.
