I believe that we should have compensation picks for unexpected events. A couple years ago I lost Nick Adenhart to the tragic car accident. Furthermore, there have been other deaths that have occurred, and I think all of which deserve a compensation pick. With the kidnapping of Wilson Ramos, I believe this is an event that should also trigger a compensation pick. My thinking is during the offseason draft, the person with the compensation would make their automatic pick between rounds 2 and 3.
If anyone has any other thoughts (how structure this proposal, oppose this proposal, or support this proposal) I would be all ears.
