Thank God... there's no reason Aki Iwamura should be starting in this league.
I was curious as to what people would think of this deal. Obviously I was going to drop these guys to get to 24 players, but, considering that the market for uneven trades was thin, I think this was as good as I could do for my spare parts.
Thoughts?
I don't know much about Fernando and Qualls off the top of my head, but I'm going to channel my inner Billy Bean and say "Jeremy Fucking Bonderman?!?" I think its an OK deal all around considering Elliot's monster year had quite a bit to do with a Cliff Lee performance that nobody saw coming (except maybe his baby mama) and is unlikely to be repeated. He'll likey improve his team's depth assuming Cano doesn't have a down first AND second half (roll the dice) and if Bonderman can stay healthy (flip a coin). As for Lance, you gained $50 draft dollars and at worst 13 more wins? Not bad all around.
