Circular bids?

How are we handling it if for example Jonathan and I both bid on Lowe and Towels (example). Say I throw all my $$ on lowe and the rest on towles and he throws all his money on towles and lowe as next... but we're the only two to bid on these guys? Who gets who for how much?

DD Totals
Kyle 795
JRoss 433

Kyle bids 795 for Lowe and 795 on Towles....JRoss Bids 443 on Towles then Lowe. First, Kyle's bid for Lowe instantly becomes 434 for each.

Lowe - Kyle 434, JRoss 433
Towles - Kyle 434, JRoss 433

Now, Kyle gets choice of player, and he chooses Lowe with his first priority for 434. Now we have

Towles - JRoss 433, Kyle 361

So, JRoss gets Towles for 362. Does everyone agree with this workflow?

If he gets Towels for 433, how could he have placed the bid for Lowe though?

and I have 695... my deal has not been confirmed and also I'm still of the opinion that it's Ibanez for 0 (but that's another point).

What I'm saying is if He bid on Towels first... and get Towels for ALL his money... (Lets say I couldn't cover both and had 695) How can he place a bid on Lowe? But if he cant place a bid on Lowe, then I would get Lowe for $1 (no one else bids remember) and then I'd have too much and would get Towels off him....

I like the math on that one and it seems the most fair, but what stops someone then from bidding on all the players and having them down at #5 or #6 on their list just to cost me (or someone who has them as #1) a lot more than they really should?

Kyle, my advice to you would be to bid as you see fit and trust in Steve.

Oh I do trust Steve to sort it out... but I figure it's time enough for me to learn the quarks of the system so that I can figure out how to make it work for me.... I lost bruce and Wieters cause I didn't pay enough attn to the system, so I figure I might as well figure it out and make it work for me now....

JRoss could bid 433 on Towels and 433 on Lowe at the same time, as long as he says which is his priority. Then, it would work out as Zach showed. The sum of your bids can exceed the total amount of money you have as long as no single bid exceeds the amount of money that you have. If a lower priority bid is for more money than you have once you get to that priority, it will be readjusted to be equal to all of your money at that point.

So, in other words, adopt our citizens' attitude toward Obama?

if our nation had the attitude about obama but had it towards me instead, we'd be in a very good place as a country (almost as good a place as i'd be as an individual!)
