Team Dollar Values

These are the 2009 BP PFM (Baseball Prospectus Player Forecast Manager) results for the current dollar value of each player's team:

Steve - 276
Zach - 283
Lance - 351
Markham - 289
Matt - 268
Connor - 259
Bick - 191
Eric - 183
Andy S - 133
Elliot - 153
JRoss - 234
Nick - 261
Jamie - 178
Kyle - 224

If we switched to mine and Connor's salary cap idea, this would be how much you are paying for your team. This was using a 260 dollar salary cap, and right now the average team salary is 235. Is anyone else interested in a salary cap idea?

I like this idea, but I still dont think this will fix everything... we need to do more than this...

I very much disagree. Salary caps will fix everything. Just look at Lance's team. With a salary cap of 260, he will have to cut or trade very good players to stay under salary and these player will have to go to the bottom half. My team before I traded CC, Webb and Peavy was a about 340. With a salary cap, I would have had to trade these people no matter what, and only the bottom teams would be able to afford them. During the season, salary cap will spread the wealth around the whole league. During the off season, there is no change of trading salary cap dollars, so you know right away how much money you have to spend and who you are competing with.

What doesn't a salary cap fix Kyle? I am very certain it would fix everything.
