Trade Negotiations Question

Quick question. During some of my trade negotiations, people have expressed concern because if they were to accept a 2 for 1 trade, they would have to drop someone before the draft (whereas after the draft they wouldnt have to if they didnt draft 3 people). So, is it legal to make a trade pre-draft and post it on the message board along wtih a date for which the trade comes into effect? I am assuming this is allowed, since this is the exact same thing as coming to an agreement and not telling everyone until after the draft (but if we are allowed to post to the blog, we can avoid another situation the the epic Zach/Connor he said he said situation of 2008).

Zach, you'd be better off adopting the policy of American presidents; namely, just do stuff because you want to and then only later wonder if it was legal

I think that once you have your roster down you should be able to stack it back up until season time now... but that's just me.

You can put it on the message board if you want, but I'll treat it as if it didn't happen until you remind me to do something about it after the draft.

That is what i thought we should do...my only concern is the legality. If we post the trade and treat it as if it didnt happen, did the trade legally happen? Meaning, can a party back out of the trade a few days later or is the trade final? (I just want clearification so that we avoid another incident like last year...dont think it will happen but we might as well cover all bases)
