Drop/Draft Confusion

My current understanding of our draft plan:

Every team must have a roster size of 24 players and must drop/trade any surplus players by the draft date.

On the draft date everyone will be allowed to draft as many players as they want, but must have a roster size of 27 by opening day - any overflow players will be relegated to the waiver wire.

In somewhat related news - I have seven closers, so you gentleman can begin the race for second in that category, as I already have it locked up.

7 Closers? Thats a lot. I will give you Bell, Cordero, Marmol and Wood. Assuming the padres and reds win some games, and assuming Wood stays healthy, you should be solid.

Good luck with Rodney. Blowing 6 saves in 19 attempts last year doesnt bode to well for him this year. And according to MLB.com, Ziegler is the closer for the A's. During the winter meetings though, their manager did say he and devine might share the ninth for a while. And i dunno about Qualls. Hopefully he will keep the Hr's down again this year or we might see rauch or even Pena challenging for the ninth.

Anyway, just my thoughts. Who knows, Lance and I might start the season with over 1/3rd of the closers in the league!
