New Owner

I've been intentionally mute on the new owner. Coslett at one point agreed to do it, but I need to confirm his interest and commitment. I will do that this week and if it turns out that he is not going to take a team, then as a league we will have to work together to find someone who can keep up with us. Please, everyone encourage Coslett (or discourage, however you feel so inclined) and if he hasn't committed by the end of next week (Dec. 12) then we will move on and find someone else.

Could we not have someone take over the inactive team AND expand back to 15 teams? I think 15 is really the perfect number of teams.

I don't think we should try to convince him either way.

If God wants him to be join the league, He will make it so.

lol, what if I was really like that?

Eric, what players would be on this 15th team?

Connor, I guess we would go about it kind like the MLB would. Perhaps (and I already know upper tier teams will hate this idea) that the new owner will get to choose one player from each team, but every team will get to protect 15 - 20 players from being poached. Then we could supplement the new team further by giving the new owner two draft picks in every round. The remaining players can be filled out from the free agent market. just I thought. I know it will be unpopular, because, well, every new idea is in this league with someone.

the draft will be auction-style rather than a snake draft, so we would instead have to give the new team extra draft dollars.

If Coslett isn't interested, I know someone from law school who might be. Don't know if y'all would be willing to bring in a total outsider, but he's a good guy who knows baseball. Steve's coming down next month and could condcut an in depth interview perhaps.

Yup, and I've still got my friend who would probably be interested. His personality would fit this group well. to quote him, "My motto is ITB. I'm the best. Gimme the worst team, I don't care. I'll win with it."

eric, he sounds like he might be perfect for an expansion team if people are interested in going back up to 15
